The wood framed Composition chalkboards are a non-magnetic receptive, two coat painted surface with a 90 day warranty. These are available with a green or black writing surface and come with a solid red oak trim and chalk tray.

Chalkboards that are 33 1/2" x 45 1/2" or smaller in size can ship by UPS.
All of our magnetic chalkboards 4' x 4' or larger must ship by truck.
The standard composition chalkboards should be broken in like most chalkboards. Take a piece of plain white quality chalk and turn it on the flat side. Proceed to chalk the entire board with an even layer of chalk. Wipe down with a soft cloth or felt eraser. Your board is now broken in and ready to write on.
Never wash your boards with wet cloths... Water and chalk do not mix and actually form a glue like substance that blocks the pores of the writing surface causing your chalkboard to malfunction.
These composition chalk boards make excellent restaurant menu blackboards or the perfect chalk boards for store display boards.
